D1.12 City Vision 2050 – final
Within this context, Task 1.7 City Vision 2050 focuses on the definition of a City Vision for 2050 in each one of the SPARCS partner cities, tailored and embedded in the specific context of each city. To do so, a structured process was implemented in two stages, culminating in two deliverables: D1.1 City Vision 2050 – draft, and D1.12 City Vison 2050 – final. The first step towards these goals was the development of a methodology for the City Vision processes in the SPARCS cities.
Subsequently, each partner city was responsible for running its own workshops and related engagement activities by following the methodology proposed. This approach was technically developed under this task, and then adapted to the specific context and specificity of each city along with the local Task Forces.
This document served as a basis for the development of the Roadmap for urban transformation [D1.2, finalised in September 2023 (M48)] in the partner cities. An equally relevant strategic tool which, also through a participatory process, helped the cities identify relevant actions and milestones on the pathway towards a 2050 climate neutral scenario.
Building upon this, the current document (D1.12 City Vision 2050 – final) reports on the whole process from the methodological approach to the VSs proposed by each city during the first stage of the process (reflected in D1.11), and includes the relevant updates derived from the roadmapping process (reflected in D1.2)
