WP 5 - Replication

The Municipality of Maia defined a clear strategy and roadmap, and has been steadily implementing a set of actions that demonstrate its total commitment to the energy transition process, in order to achieve the decarbonisation of its territory. The transition to a post-carbon community represents an ambitious challenge for Maia regarding local public policies and increasingly motivates participation in innovative and integrated initiatives such as the SPARCS project. This report aims to detail the project development process of the two selected projects chosen by the Municipality of Maia to be implemented in the scope of the SPARCS project:
– a virtual Positive Energy District (PED) with an energy community;
– and the City Digital Transformation (CDT).
