Report: L9.2: The replication potential of the positive energy community in the replication district “Stadtraum Bayerischer Bahnhof”
The report looks at a number of topics including but not limited to urban master planning, construction, schedule and stakeholders, energy demand assessment, renewable energy potential, and heat supply options. Furthermore it informs about digital interfaces and use cases as a virtual power plant and the creation of replication models for other districts. Furthermore, the report aims to show how and which solutions from the SPARCS project could be implemented in the “Bayerischer Bahnhof” replication district.
Around 1,600 flats with accompanying social infrastructure, day-care centres, and schools are being developed in the replication area. In addition, office and commercial space for jobs and a community park will be created for recreation in the area and neighbouring districts. Because of the long development the effectiveness of the project as a whole still remains to be seen.
Nevertheless, the report shows how, in the event of a successful development of the district, digital elements can also be placed on top of the hardware elements implemented in the district and networked with each other within the framework of a digital platform.
Sustainable energy Positive & zero cARbon CommunitieS demonstrate and validate technically and socio-economically viable and replicable innovative solutions for the deployment of smart, integrated positive energy systems for the transition to a people-centred carbon-free and resource-efficient economy. SPARCS enables buildings to participate in the energy market and makes new services and a virtual power plant concept possible. This will create VirtualPositiveEnergy communities as a form of energy.
