We warmly invite you to the third installment of our empowering webinar series, “Roadshow: Build Your Financial Capacity – Empowering Urban Prosperity,” scheduled for the 21st of March 2024. This series is designed to foster urban prosperity and help you build your financial capacity.

The upcoming session will delve into the potential of digital technology, data analytics, and connectivity in optimizing resource use, enhancing energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices. The aim is to empower local administrations to leverage smart infrastructure, innovative financing models, and public-private partnerships. These tools can help transform cities into sustainable, green hubs of the future and commit to a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

During the webinar, the role of local administrations in implementing the European Union Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (EU SFDR), the EU Taxonomy, and the New Green Deal will be discussed. The concept of Scalable Cities and its importance in achieving climate neutrality will also be introduced.

In addition, an overview of the “Roadshow: Build your financial capacity” initiative will be provided. This program is a service offered by the Scalable Cities Secretariat to support cities in the financial design of projects. Participants will gain insights into various Smart City Business Models and engage in discussions on other business model solutions.
