SPARCS supports European cities in transforming into Sustainable energy Positive & zero cARbon CommunitieS by creating citizen-centric ecosystems that are equipped to bring about meaningful change.

In this SPARCS webinar on Citizen Engagement, we will present and discuss research findings and practical examples on citizen engagement activities. In Espoo lighthouse city, the SPARCS partners are developing new practices and a cross-cutting strategy for engaging citizens in co-design and decision-making processes from the beginning. It is a collaborative process between public and private sector actors to create possibilities for citizens – the key stakeholders – to participate in sustainable transition and creation of zero carbon communities.

The webinar is organized by the Finnish SPARCS partners (RIL, KONE, VTT, Citycon and city of Espoo) on November 19th at 10-11.30 (EET). We discuss key topics of citizen engagement in public-private partnerships for sustainable transition.
