In Espoo work at all demonstration sites has started and we are very much looking forward to first results in the fall. In the meantime city of Espoo has been preparing a voluntary local review on how United Nations’ sustainable development goals are reached, together with the prime minister’s office of Finland and city of Turku. It will not only describe the work done by the city but also how the city collaborates and engages other stakeholders including citizens.

Sustainable Development Goal 7 “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all” is in the core of SPARCS project. That is why city of Espoo has chosen SPARCS as one showcase how the city is going to reach all goals by year 2025. The voluntary local review will be published in June 2020. Stay tuned!
