After the exciting summer events in the Duncker Neighborhood seecon employers are back again with two new events:

• 27^th September 2023, 4:30-6pm,       Movie night with SPARCS
• 5^th October 2023, 4:00-6pm,             “Energiesprechstunde” (energy consultation) and presentation of the SPARCS-App

Where?

As always, in the neighborhood, in the beautiful setting of the LWB neighborhood meeting point, at Dr.-Hermann-Duncker-Straße 2

On Wednesday, 27th September 2023 we are showing the film “Konferenz der Tiere” (Animals United) in collaboration with the Landesfilmdienst Sachsen e.V. (State of Saxony Film Society) and will be exploring issues such as sustainability and water scarcity. All children and parents of the Duncker Neighbourhood are warmly invited.

 On Thursday, 5^th October 2023 all residents are very welcome to come along to our “Energiesprechstunde”. Caritasverband Leipzig e.V., Wohnen & Service Leipzig GmbH (WSL) and Verbraucherzentrale e.V. will be giving tips on how to:

• Save energy and money
• Reduce your heating bills
• Understand and regulate your energy consumption and bills

For all Residents of Beckerstraße 52-56 the SPARCS app is here!

With the app, you can monitor your own heat and electricity consumption and compare it to the neighborhood’s average. Check in real-time where a lot of energy is being used, where you could save, and in doing so, help the environment and your wallet! SPARCS is an EU-Project that is supporting Leipzig to become a city of the future: smart, connected, carbon positive and a place where all its residents can thrive. The Duncker Neighbourhood in the west of Leipzig is the model neighbourhood for this project. We are working together with the community to develop an environmentally friendly neighbourhood.
