The city of Kladno is a proud partner in the SPARCS project. This five years project allows participating cities such as Kladno to work on creating a vision and an energy strategy that should help them to achieve their self-defined decarbonization goals. Since the inception of the SPARCS project just over a year ago, the city of Kladno was able to put in motion some exciting actions that will benefit its citizens such as city energy transformation processes, thermal mapping of the city, preparation of a sustainable and carbon-neutral vision for the city until 2050, cooperation with European specialists in the field of sustainable and intelligent energy, preparation of projects including focused on energy performance contracting (EPC) and Positive Energy District (PED), workshops as means for sharing experiences.

By being part of SPARCS, energy efficiency in buildings, improvement of the air quality, exploitation of the electromobility and digitization among others, are some of the dreams that the city of Kladno aims to turn into reality.
