Part of Leipzig’s participation in the SPARCS project is the superior goal to become climate-neutral by the year 2050. This goal is very ambitious and needs strictly implemented measures in order to be reached without a doubt. An important factor for motivation and goal-oriented working is a clear vision of what we want to achieve, and therefore on the 25. & 26.06.2020 we met up for a City Vision Workshop in Leipzig. In this workshop, participants from different city departments and SPARCS project partners worked together in creative methods to create their ideal sustainable city vision for Leipzig. At the end of the workshop, together we formed a specific image of how we wish Leipzig will be in 2050. This vision will help inspire, motivate, encourage and advise all sorts of people working towards our sustainability goals and it is something we will look forward to work towards.
