The ITDP award ceremony will take place virtually on February 25, 2021, and it will celebrate the winning city, Jakarta, Indonesia, as well as Lviv – two cities whose sustainable transport initiatives stood out from a number of applicants. Each year, the STA Committee chooses a city that has implemented outstanding and innovative sustainable transportation projects. Winning strategies succeed in improving mobility for all residents, improving safety and access for cyclists and pedestrians, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transportation.

The ceremony will feature guests such as Eduardo Paes, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and ITDP CEO and 2015 STA winner, Heather Thompson. Orest Oleskiv, Head of Transport Office Lviv City Administration, will receive the 2021 Honorable Mention on behalf of the city.
