SPARCS participated in Tampere Smart City Week Expo & Conference , held on 6-7 June at Nokia Arena, Tampere, Finland. City of Espoo’s SPARCS team members participated in the conference which provided interesting presentations  and  discussions on topical smart city themes, cases and projects, including system level development of smart cities, autonomous vehicles, prospects of artificial intelligence in cities, and the emergent planning practices of urban air mobility, among others.

A local event of the Horizon2020 STARDUST project was also organized as part of the conference. Jani Tartia from SPARCS took part in a panel discussion titled ’From neighborhood demonstrations to replicated solutions for carbon neutral and resilient cities and regions’, which focused on the exchange about key learnings from the Horizon2020 projects.
