There are just some of the critical elements to consider for a successful start-up competition, shared during the SPARCS webinar Start-up competition from A to Z: Key learnings and success factors. 

The online session, which took place on 21 April, presented key learnings and best practices of KONE’s Sustainable Mobility Challenge and the City of Leipzig Smart City Challenge. This was followed by a focused analysis by the team Urban Governance Innovation from Fraunhofer IAO of the main obstacles and success factors for possible future replications. 

Implementing start-up competitions across different H2020 projects and initiatives offers an efficient way to find innovative solutions, services, and business models that can be piloted in the urban environment.
